Jaime Harrison was elected to lead the Democratic National Committee (DNC) after a historic run for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina, challenging Lindsey Graham.

He's built a national grassroots movement and set records during that campaign for the most amount of money raised by a U.S. Senate candidate in history. He previously served as the first African American chair of the South Carolina Democratic Party from 2013 to 2017.
