Dear Friend,

In a little over a week, Alexandria's voters will choose the Democratic nominee for Mayor. The most important obligation of local government is to protect the safety of our community. Today, I am proud to announce the support of Alexandria's Firefighters, Inc. Local 2141.

In endorsing our campaign, the primary labor group representing Alexandria's firefighters, paramedics, communication specialists and fire marshals, cited our focus on public safety and my support for the public servants who selflessly serve our City.

Ultimately, the endorsement I seek is that of the voters of our City. Already, 2,616 Alexandrians have cast their votes in our Democratic Primary. This exceeds the total early voters from 3 years ago.

You can review the sample ballots for this election online:

There are three ways you can vote in this Democratic Primary:

  • Vote early in-person at the Registrar's Office at 132 N. Royal Street (across from City Hall). In-person voting will be available Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 5 PM; Saturdays May 29th and June 5th from 8 AM until 5 PM; with extended hours until 8 PM on June 2nd and June 3rd.
  • Request a mail ballot today online that can be returned by US Mail or dropped at the 24/7 drop-box available in front of the Registrar's Office.
  • Vote in-person on the Primary Day of June 8th, from 6 AM until 7 PM at your local precinct.

The progress we have made as a community is the result of collaborative leadership and community involvement.

I would be honored to have your support as we continue our work in the future!

  5. Ten days ago I had the opportunity to sit down with Virginia Amos from Zebra TV for a sit-down interview. Check it out!
