We need to know what happened leading up to January 6th.

The world watched as a violent mob broke windows, kicked in office doors, and left legislators cowering in the chamber. But what we don’t know is how it even got to that point.

We don’t know whether tours were given. Or which groups organized a coordinated attack on our nation’s elections. Or how to root out the lies that led to this travesty.

We think a bipartisan commission is the right approach, but the Senate is refusing to consider it. What do you think?

We have good news and bad news, John.

The good news: Congress is considering a January 6th commission to investigate the Capitol Insurrection and make sure nothing like it ever happens again. The measure even passed the House last week with bipartisan support!

The bad news: With a 50/50 split in the Senate and Republicans lined up to downplay the attack, there isn’t much chance of it getting through McConnell and his allies.

Republican members of Congress who were present on January 6th are refusing to investigate the attack, because they know it will make their party look bad.

At DASS, we value the truth over political convenience. But we want to hear your voice on this vital issue.
