John -- I wanted to follow up on yesterday's email with more information about Republicans' plan to oust Democratic House members through gerrymandering:

“The GOP has total control over the fate of three dozen Democratic incumbents in four major states: Florida, Texas, Georgia and North Carolina. But they also plan to press their advantage in smaller states to bring new seats into play...” -- Politico

Let me put this into perspective: Right now, Democrats hold the House majority by just eight seats.

The bottom line is that it's ESSENTIAL that redistricting in those four states and across the country be carried out fairly. And we need your help to make sure it gets done. Can you pitch in now?

According to Politico , the New Hampshire GOP is "experimenting with new maps that pack [Rep. Pappas'] district with red towns and shove blue pockets into the seat next door." Republicans in Georgia want to do something similar with Rep. McBath's district; one strategist said, "We've got a chunk of Republican voters we can put back in [that district]."

And in Kansas, one of Rep. Davids' potential opponents actually chairs the state House committee that will redraw the lines of her district! The congresswoman told Politico , "I feel like [Republicans are] out there saying, 'If you can't beat them, cheat them.'"

She's exactly right, team. This is cheating, plain and simple. It's determining the outcome of an election before a single vote is cast. And we have to fight it with everything we have.
