In a minute, I'm going to ask you to give to Catherine Cortez Masto, because her race in Nevada could decide who controls the Senate.

Catherine worked so hard to get us our fragile 50-50 majority, and our shared future hinges entirely on defending our Democratic Senate. That's why I'm reaching out today.

The path to the Senate majority runs straight through Nevada. But analysts at CNN are already calling Nevada one of the seats most likely to flip; two outside groups have launched their first round of attack ads to defeat Catherine; and national Republicans just teed up their first official TV ad against her.

If we lose Nevada, we could lose the Senate. Catherine can't fight back alone. She won in 2016 because of a strong grassroots team - because of Democrats like you. That's why I told her I'd help her raise $25,000 before midnight tonight: Please, John, if you can, will you give $5 or more right now to help defend Nevada's Senate seat and the Senate majority for Democrats?

I've seen how Catherine has worked hard every day in the Senate to support families - not only in Nevada, but across our nation. And we couldn't have flipped the Senate without Catherine's tireless efforts as the chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

But GOP outside groups spent nearly $50 million to defeat Catherine in 2016 - and with Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight saying that Republicans have a strong chance to retake the majority in 2022, Mitch McConnell will do whatever it takes to win in Nevada and take back Senate control.
