Our May end-of-month fundraising deadline falls on Memorial Day this year, which means we’re going to have to make some serious headway towards our fundraising goal over the next 48 hours.

Thanks to the Biden Administration, more than 130 million Americans have been fully vaccinated and more than half of the country has received at least one dose. Many of us may even be lucky enough to gather in small groups to celebrate the beginning of summer this weekend.

Among other things, the progress we’ve made with President Biden and Vice President Harris should remind us that elections have consequences—and the stakes are high. An unprecedented rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine was made possible by an administration that cares about science and listens to the experts.

That’s why we have to start thinking about the midterm elections and laying the groundwork to make sure Democrats hang onto our razor-thin majorities in Congress. The GOP knows how important the midterms are and they’ve already begun building their comeback operation. They’ve even telegraphed how they plan to use gerrymandering in several Red states to take back the House.

In the next 48 hours, we need 250 grassroots supporters to step up and make a contribution of any size to help us with our May fundraising goal.
