As the youngest member of Congress from California, I'm representing a new generation of leaders who are taking on the biggest problems we face — an unfair economy, a climate crisis, gun violence, and this devastating pandemic.

I was so proud to work with my fellow Democrats in Congress to pass the American Rescue Plan and to fight for the inclusion of the expanded Child Tax Credit in the final version of the bill. This bill provides much-needed relief to millions of Americans whose lives have been deeply affected by COVID-19.

Additionally, I’m excited to introduce the Universal Child Care and Early Learning Act, a bill that devotes $700 billion for universal child care, including major investments in child care facilities.

As I work hard on behalf of my constituents and our country, I am also looking ahead to 2022. The Democratic majority in Congress is slim, and Republicans will need to flip just five seats to take back the House. We can't afford to lose a single seat, and with redistricting making the map even tougher, we have to be extra vigilant.

So with just a few days until our end-of-month fundraising deadline, we’ve set a goal to bring in 1,000 contributions by the end of the month to show the strength of our movement. I’m hoping you can chip in any amount today to help us get there. Any amount, even $3, brings us closer to our goal.
