In just a minute, I’m going to ask you to donate to my campaign as part of our end-of-month fundraising push for May. We’re a bit short of our goal, so I hope you’ll let me briefly explain why this request matters so much.

Between working hard to get us through this pandemic and giving American families the relief they need to navigate a divided, evenly split 50-50 Senate, there’s a lot Congress has on its plate.

Most days, raising money for our campaign is the last thing on my mind given how many important fights we have going on right now. That’s how it should be!

So, it’s really no surprise that there’s a pretty big gap between our current fundraising numbers and our May goal.
