As the brutal civil war in the Tigray region of Ethiopia continues, Ipas is moving swiftly to help health facilities prioritize sexual and reproductive health services, including abortion, and to re-establish those services where they’ve been disrupted.

The need for reproductive health care is tremendous in times of crisis like this. Rape and sexual violence are being used as a weapon of war, and women and girls are bearing the brunt of the most disturbing violence.

• Training health workers in abortion and contraceptive care

• Funding the New Millennium Women Empowerment Organization, which works to help women access abortion pills
