Let us explain. This morning, we were looking at how our fundraising has been doing this past week:
For some reason, there’s been a dip in our typical fundraising numbers. Usually, we aim to raise $3,000 every day to make sure we’re on track with our monthly goals — but we’ve been falling short this past week.
We’ll be honest with you. It’s been a busy week for Cori — from working on new legislation to transform the way we approach community safety, to advocating for the end of qualified immunity through the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act — there’s been a lot going on for our team.
Worrying about our fundraising is the last thing we want to put on Cori’s plate. That’s why we rely on grassroots donations from folks like you to power our work so we don’t have to ask Cori or our team members to take their focus off of legislating or organizing and spend time on fundraising.
