... I swear I have more important things to do — like fighting for California’s 15th District and the rest of the American people — but first, I want to make it clear that this is unacceptable:

After the “America First” Caucus — designed to promote the GQP’s white supremacist agenda — was shamed out of Congress, Marjorie Taylor Greene & Matt Gaetz are now taking their hateful message directly to the American people on a speaking tour. I wish I was joking. 

I’m angry and embarrassed that people who I have to call “colleagues” feel as though these ideas belong in American politics — so much so that they’ve decided to go on tour across this country spewing rhetoric of hatred, transphobia, and lies about the mythical “deep state.”

John — our democracy is at stake. We need rational members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to be truly representative of families and individuals across this country. Our team is aiming to hit $50,000 raised before the end of the month so that we can stay on track to hold the House in 2022. Can you chip into our fight today to help us keep dangerous extremists from taking the House majority in 2022?

Let me be clear  — I am wholeheartedly and firmly against any efforts to further white supremacy in this country. I am committed to rooting out white nationalism, and ensuring the safety of our Black and brown neighbors.

I wish I could come to you with better news, John. I wish I only had to share everything we’re accomplishing within the Biden Administration. But at this very moment, white supremacists and conspiracy theorists are walking the halls of Congress — and they’re aiming to take me out in 2022.

The far right is poisoning the fruitful discussions Democrats are trying to have to further the priorities of the American people. I refuse to let white supremacy win, John — will you stand with me?
