John,

We wanted to flag the latest story in Wisconsin Spotlight highlighting legislative Republicans’ efforts to stand up for election integrity.

In case you missed it, earlier this week legislative Republicans joined pro-election integrity groups for a “Standing Up for Voter Integrity” rally and press conference at the State Capitol in Madison, where nearly 140 Wisconsinites turned out to show their support.

The event highlighted the concerns regarding what happened in the “Wisconsin 5” Democrat cities of Milwaukee, Madison, Kenosha, Racine and Green Bay, where these cities received over $8 million in “Zuckerbucks” from Mark Zuckerberg’s Center for Tech and Civic Life. Representative Janel Brandtjen, who chairs the Assembly Committee on Campaigns and Elections that is working tirelessly to get to the bottom of what happened in these cities, said, “The lack of oversight of these groups should concern everyone in the state of Wisconsin as we work toward transparent elections.”

Additionally, Speaker of the Wisconsin State Assembly Robin Vos has hired former police officers to conduct an investigation into the November election. Speaker Vos is hoping to have results of the investigation by the fall -- around the same time that the Legislative Audit Bureau's election audit is complete.

We are listening to your concerns about the 2020 election, and Republicans are taking them directly to the Wisconsin Elections Commission, Tony Evers and the mainstream media. You can view the latest updates on election integrity bills making their way through the Legislature on our Election Integrity Dashboard, located here.

Thanks,

Team WisGOP
