SAVE THE DATE June 30-July 03, 2022. Allied Media Conference.
We hope the lunar eclipse and flower moon continues to illuminate you as we collectively conjure this new season of change. Missing AMC on our off year?! The feeling's mutual.
We're excited to announce the 22nd Biennial Allied Media Conference will return to Detroit and online as our first ever hybrid conference! Join us June 30th – July 3rd, 2022.
AMC will explore emerging futures at the intersection of art, technology, education, media, and visionary resistance/organizing. It will feature hands-on workshops, meet-ups for community-building, and epic sessions of strategizing and dreaming. We will also be taking celebration to another level at AMC@NIGHT, our 4-night festival of performance art, film, food, and life-changing dance parties.
Ever wonder who helps make the AMC happen? Meet the Crew! ([link removed]) Liz and Mars share their sun signs, ancestral inspirations, and percolating dreams for AMC2022!
As part of our post-Chrysalis shape the AMC decided to experiment with organizing sessions with two big thematic focus areas: Media for Liberation and Visionary Organizing. This year, we are bringing back the open proposal process, because we missed the magic that comes from tapping the collective imagination and brilliance of our network.
A Track is a series of sessions connected by a shared theme.
A Network Gathering is a one or two-day mini-conference convened by a Detroit or national network.
More about how to propose a Track or Network Gathering, an FAQ, and schedule of info sessions to demystify the process on our new AMC2020 website!

For many artists, transformation occurs during the process of making. Manger on McNichols, came out of a 10 year exploration between musician and longtime AMC participant, Sterling Toles and Detroit rapper, BOLDY James. Join us at our closing event of the season as they discuss how an experiment in healing led to profound transformation for both artists
