Since launching our campaign just three months ago, we have received over $188,747 In contributions from over 3,400 individual donors. Over 1,500 grassroots donations came from New York state residents alone.
For me, this number represents much more than a fundraising goal. It is symbolic of the thousands of working-class people who are coming together to demand change, and is a testament to the grassroots support coming from my district. I am proud that in just a few short months, we have been able to raise the money we need to fuel our campaign and effect change from the ground up.

We are not accepting any corporate PAC or lobbyist money, and while we have secured thousands of donations from individuals in all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico, DC, and from U.S. military members abroad, fewer than 1% of my opponent, Eliot Engel’s contributions came from small dollar donations in 2017 and 2018. The contrast couldn’t be more clear, this campaign is grassroots working people vs powerful corporate interests.
During this quarter, we also focused on engaging with voters, meeting with local groups, building an army of over 400 volunteers, hosting dozens of events, and knocking on thousands of doors in the majority of towns and cities in the 16th district.
