2021 STATE CONVENTION JUNE 12TH

In preparation for State Convention and party organizing, VAN accounts for party leadership will be turned off after May 1st so that the data team can reset accounts. The data team will contact individuals after State Convention with instructions on the next steps to set up accounts. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Qualifying delegates of the Oklahoma Democratic Party will meet virtually on Saturday, June 12th for the 2021 State Convention. The Convention will include the casting of votes for the Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and State Affirmative Action Officers which will make up a portion of the Oklahoma Democratic Party Central Committee.

Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett - State Convention Keynote Speaker

Congresswoman Stacey E. Plaskett represents the United States Virgin Islands’ at-large Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. She is currently serving her fourth term in Congress.

For the 117th Congress, Plaskett has been appointed to serve on the Ways and Means Committee which is the chief tax-writing and revenue generating committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. It is the oldest and one of the most exclusive committees in Congress. In true historic fashion, she is the first Member from a U.S. territory and only the fourth African American woman to serve as a member of this powerful body. Read more...

Governor Stitt Has Lost Focus of His Job in Favor of Currying Approval from Out-of-State Republicans

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK MAY 18, 2021 – The Oklahoma Democratic Party released the following statement on Stitt ending pandemic-related unemployment benefits:

“It seems not a day goes by that our current governor doesn’t make fools of Oklahomans,” said Alicia Andrews, Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. “Instead of caring about the people he was elected to serve, he is playing games by trolling PETA with a performative side-of-the-road cookout and blaming President Biden for a shortage of one company’s fast-food sauce.
