Thank you SDIRC for Including Border Angels on the presentation with the delegation from Egypt to learn about Asylum/Refugee issues during the SD Diplomacy Council meeting.
Day Laborer Outreach: A simple way to help and empower our migrant community! On the 1st Saturday of the month we visit several Home Depots to speak to day laborers. Most of them arrive at 6AM and stay until 3/4 PM on a daily basis hoping for work. We take time to listen to their stories and struggles, while providing them with lunches, care packages, and other treats. We also inform them about our free employment consultations every Wednesday from 6-7PM to ensure they are treated fairly by their employers, and how they can use Border Angels as a resource.

The Mobile School Project
The Mobile School project was born from the collaboration between two humanitarian aid organizations Border Angels and The Schoolbox Project. As you may know, Border Angels sponsors ~15 shelters in Tijuana, MX serving migrant families who often spend many months waiting for asylum hearings and next steps. The shelters house hundreds of children, many of whom have spent months, if not years outside of the school system - if they were able to attend in their home countries at all. https://www.gofundme.com/f/the-mobile-school-project

Mr. Trumpet and the Big, Not-So-Great, Wall is a story about a group of friends who live in Yousa, a place filled with music from all over the world. The friends love playing music together, but their friendship, families, and music are threatened when a Mr. Trumpet decides to build a wall and remove those who do not play the music he likes.
This is a story about how a group of friends can overcome heartbreak and separation through working together and believing in one another. People big and small, young and old, near and far, can find strength in caring for one another and building a better world for tomorrow.
