As Father’s Day approaches, we’re celebrating the dads who cheer on our most outrageous ambitions. Who comfort us when we fail. And dads who do all they can to protect us when times get hard.
We’re celebrating great dads around the world. Dads like Ramesh.
All he wanted was to give his family a better life. But he was robbed of the joys of fatherhood when they fell into the trap of forced labor slavery in a brick kiln.
Instead of a better life, Ramesh’s worst nightmare came to fruition: he suffered alongside his family, working from dawn to dusk molding and firing thousands of heavy clay bricks, then loading them all in trucks for their early-morning delivery to Bangalore.
But because people like you partner with us in the mission to end slavery, we helped Ramesh find freedom. Now, this is what freedom as a father means for Ramesh:
It means his children can go to school.
It means his wife can sleep peacefully at night.
It means he can choose where and how he works.
It means he can hear the most beautiful sound: his daughter’s laugh.
Do you have a dad in your life who would do anything just to hear his child’s laughter? Honor him this Father’s Day by sending rescue to more fathers fighting for their family’s freedom.
