Hi ,

Who speaks for Christians in America today?

The media focuses much of its religion reporting on self-proclaimed Christian leaders who claim to represent the 81 percent of white evangelicals who voted for, and continue to support, the presidency of Donald Trump. Meanwhile, the voices of those who prioritize the biblical call to social justice get drowned out.

It’s almost as if the voice of Jerry Falwell, Jr. matters more than Jesus Christ.

How can we change the narrative?

As you’re likely aware, I just wrote a new book called Christ in Crisis: Why We Need to Reclaim Jesus. It’s a guide for putting Jesus’ values back at the center of the national conversation about faith and values—and, more importantly, re-centering our own lives on his life and teachings.

Want your purchase of Christ in Crisis to make the greatest impact? Here’s how.

To change the national narrative about faith and values, we have to get the media’s attention.

And one proven way for a message like this to break through is to land on the New York Times Bestseller List. Real talk: We’re told we need to sell 5,000 copies to make the bestseller list (which helps drive a new narrative). Books ordered in the first couple of weeks are the most important

When God’s Politics became a national bestseller, it changed the conversation.

So if you’re thinking about buying the book but haven’t yet, I’m asking you to consider doing it now.

There are an awful lot of voices in America right now claiming to speak for Christians. But we all know that in the end there’s only one voice that matters: Jesus Christ. If we can get this book out, it will be a clear line in the sand that at least some of us still care about applying Jesus' voice to our lives and our politics.

And that would be good news, for our nation — and for the world.

In Christ,

Jim Wallis
