Well, it seems like we don’t even finish talking about disgraced Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, when she pops up in the news again. It’s as if she can’t help herself getting caught up in one scandal after another. If you live in a free state, you might not realize that Democrat-run places still have strict mandates in place. That includes Michigan, that continues to restrict how many people can even go to a restaurant. But guess what? Their own governor thinks she’s above the very rules she put into place.
Joe Biden, much like Nancy Pelosi and numerous other Democrats, love to tout their Catholic faith. But in recent months, leading Catholic leaders have criticized politicians who profess the faith, but support views contrary to the church. In fact, some bishops say that Democrats who embrace policies that violate their doctrines should not be given Communion. This controversy does not appear to be going away, either. Joe Biden was scheduled to speak at Notre Dame’s graduation. But after a large group of students protested—he just got pulled.
It’s no secret that people from blue states are fleeing to greener pastures. This has been going on for a long time. But the mass exodus only grew during the past year. Americans, many of whom voted for Democrats, were suddenly shocked at how much they were paying in taxes. Meanwhile, they couldn’t even go out and get a slice of pizza. If you can’t eat New York pizza, why are you in New York at all? These folks, probably both conservative and liberal, are finding that life in Florida, Texas, and other states to be much better. And now, officials are blasting the reason for such a dramatic change.
Those of us looking from the outside know there is at least a little civil war going on among House Democrats. We know that Nancy Pelosi is not as in charge as she likes to be. Radical progressives have battled to take the reins of the party. And old-schoolers like Pelosi and the moderates are rapidly losing ground. Now, a new book is revealing even more of the drama within this splintering party. It looks like Pelosi killed AOC’s holy grail, because she didn’t like all the attention the freshman was getting.
