The Supreme Court has announced its first abortion case…

Friend -

The Supreme Court will hear its FIRST abortion case since President Trump’s nominees Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh were confirmed to the court.

The case is a challenge to Louisiana’s pro-life law that placed critical safety and health regulations upon the abortion industry.

As Planned Parenthood said in its recent fundraising email (see below): “This case could decide the future of abortion access in this country… and… could pave the way for states to take the right to abortion away from 25 million people of reproductive age.”

This case gives the Court a chance to revisit the abortion question at a time when pro-life Americans are motivated like never before to protect life and deliver defeats to the abortion industry led by Planned Parenthood.

Please make a contribution of $25, $35, $50, $100 or even $250 to Susan B. Anthony List at this pivotal moment -- not just in our country’s history, but in human history -- as we fight to end the evil of abortion that claims one innocent human life every 34 seconds.

At issue in the Louisiana case is whether states have the right to protect women’s health and safety by requiring certain standards – like making sure abortionists have admitting privileges to local hospitals in case something goes wrong during the procedure.

Planned Parenthood hates this kind of oversight. They want to be able to wound women and end the lives of babies as they please.

But the abortion industry simply cannot be trusted to regulate itself. Remember just weeks ago, the bodies of more than 2,200 unborn children were discovered on the property of late abortionist Ulrich Klopfer. Klopfer had a history of callous disregard for vulnerable women and girls, including victims of rape and sexual abuse.

He eventually got his license revoked, but no thanks to Planned Parenthood. They don’t care about defending women from so-called “doctors” like Klopfer or Kermit Gosnell.

That’s why it’s no surprise that Planned Parenthood is preparing to go on the offensive to try and intimidate lawmakers and even the Supreme Court. They want abortion-on-demand with no restrictions, no protections for women.

Just last weekend, pink hat marchers shouted vile obscenities about impeaching Justice Kavanaugh.

This is just a preview of the vile attacks the Big Abortion Lobby will employ as the Supreme Court hears this critical case.

We must stand strong. Not for ourselves, but for the voiceless babies they viciously prey upon.

Please make an urgent contribution of $25, $35, $50, $100 or even $250 to your Susan B. Anthony List team at this pivotal moment in human history.

For LIFE,

Marjorie Dannenfelser
President, Susan B. Anthony List

P.S. I’ve forwarded you the Planned Parenthood fundraising email below. Please make a contribution to fight back in defense of LIFE after you read it.

Subject: Supreme Court: First abortion case since Trump

The Supreme Court just announced that it will take on a case about abortion for the first time since President Trump nominated two justices to the Supreme Court. The court will be reviewing an abortion restriction in Louisiana — a restriction that's nearly identical to one of the Texas restrictions struck down by the Supreme Court in Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt just three years ago.

In Whole Woman's Health, the Supreme Court decided that laws like this one in Louisiana had no purpose other than to make abortion more difficult to access. By granting review in this case, the Supreme Court is agreeing to reconsider its own landmark decision — and if the court allows this Louisiana law to stand, it will be breaking with its own precedent and dismantling constitutional protections to abortion access. This case could decide the future of abortion access in this country.

As abortion access comes under attack, this is no time to back down. We need to fight back with everything we've got in order to protect our rights.

And we need you with us. Help Planned Parenthood Action Fund protect access to safe, legal abortion — whenever and wherever it's under attack. Rush your urgent gift right now.

Relying on the courts to protect our rights is harder than ever, as the Trump administration and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rapidly fill the federal bench with judges who will decide our health and rights. In fact, it was a year ago this week that we watched in horror as just 50 senators voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to a lifetime appointment on the Supreme Court.

If the Supreme Court allows this Louisiana law to stand now, it will be defying precedent and could make the protections of Roe virtually meaningless. This case could pave the way for states to take the right to abortion away from 25 million people of reproductive age.

We can't let that happen. Make an urgent gift to Planned Parenthood Action Fund now: Your gift will help us fight back against continued attacks on our reproductive health and rights, and so much more.

Today's news, coupled with the anniversary of Kavanaugh's confirmation this weekend, serves as a bone-chilling reminder of just how fragile our rights and freedoms really are.

Thank you for staying in this fight. I trust you'll be with us for as long as it takes.
