** Michigan Campaign Finance Network Seeks New Executive Director ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
LANSING — The Michigan Campaign Finance Network ([link removed]) is launching a search for a new executive director.

The organization’s current director, Craig Mauger, has accepted a reporting position with The Detroit News and will be leaving the MCFN staff in the middle of this month.

“We regret our loss of Craig’s services while celebrating his new professional opportunity," said Lynn Jondahl the president of MCFN’s Board. “In his four years as the director, he has enhanced our reputation as the go-to source of trusted information about and analysis of the role of money in Michigan politics."

In the last four years, MCFN has strengthened its organizational infrastructure and has seen increasing use of its website, www.mcfn.org ([link removed]) . The organization — with donors' support — also has achieved greater fiscal stability, a challenge for many nonprofit policy organizations.

“Being the director of the Michigan Campaign Finance Network has been an amazing experience, and I am thankful for those who have given me the opportunity," Mauger said. “People across the state value this organization and the watchdog work it does. I look forward to seeing it continue to shine light in Lansing.”

The MCFN Board has initiated a search for a new executive director in anticipation of an active political campaign year in 2020. If you know of someone who might be interested, please encourage the person to submit an application: mcfn.org/jobposting.

The organization looks forward to continuing to provide intelligent and insightful information and analysis of how political money is raised and spent in the campaigns that affect Michigan politics and policies — a task basic to a healthy democracy.
