Democrats in Maine continue to work every day for LGBTQ+ equality. Both Rep. Chellie Pingree and Rep. Jared Golden cosponsored and voted for the Equality Act. Last session, after years of work from Speaker Ryan Fecteau and many others, the Maine Legislature passed a ban on conversion therapy. This year, Dems in the Maine Legislature have blocked several anti-trans bills proposed by the GOP.
