Hi John, When you talk with Sahra*, you wouldn't know what she and her family have suffered. That's because the joyful 8-year-old isn't going to let something like a drought keep her from dreaming. She's eager to tell you about her big dreams. Sahra dreams of going to university and mastering English and Somali. And it probably won't be long before she breaks into song. Due to climate change, Sahra's rural Somali community hasn't seen rain in nearly a year and a half. Her mother Amina* had to watch as the drought killed the herds that fed her family. Her daughters, Sahra and her sister Aida*, grew more and more malnourished. But thanks to generous donors like you, Sahra doesn't have to give up on her dreams. Watch Sahra tell her story (and sing one of her favorite songs!) here. Thank you, Cassidy Knize Digital
