Berger calls for repeal of Durbin Amendment in Real Clear Politics op-ed
In a new Real Clear Politics op-ed, NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger calls on policymakers to do what's best for consumers and repeal the Durbin Debit Interchange Amendment under the Dodd-Frank Act. NAFCU has a new version of its marijuana banking brief available online to provide credit unions with comprehensive updates on regulatory landscape, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) data and federal legislative efforts for marijuana laws.

As the NCUA reviews the policy and methodology used to set the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund's (NCUSIF) normal operating level (NOL), NAFCU is seeking member credit unions' feedback on evaluating NCUSIF performance, data sources, modeling timelines, and more.

NAFCU to HFSC: Support changes that allow CUs to serve underserved areas, offer MBL loans
Ahead of today’s House Financial Service Committee hearing to provide oversight of the nation’s largest banks, NAFCU’s Brad Thaler wrote to the committee to call for support of the Expanding Financial Access for Underserved Communities Act – which would make a change to the Federal Credit Union Act that would allow all types of credit unions to add underserved areas to their fields of membership.
