Celebrating 15 years of empowering conservative women!

Dear John,

Women from American University, The Catholic University of America, The George Washington University, and the University of Virginia, the NeW DC Professional Network, and friends of NeW came together on September 26 in Washington, DC to celebrate NeW’s 15th Anniversary and the impact NeW has had on conservative women. The highlight of the evening was being joined by Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers, who gave an inspiring message, encouraging all in attendance to be proud of their conservative beliefs.
The celebration was complete with cake, a photo booth, and the women reminiscing with one another on how NeW has shaped their personal and professional goals – enabling them to stand up for their beliefs and bringing them into contact with friends from across the country through leadership development, social events, and chapter-focused trainings. Here are what some of the attendees shared.
“NeW has been the best thing to happen to me in my undergraduate experience. It has been my favorite club, my best network, and has given me opportunities I never thought I would experience such as being a book contributor and doing interviews for CBN.” – Sophia Czerniecki, President of NeW at Catholic University

“I often look back at all the amazing people NeW has allowed me to interact with. The friends and leaders I have been able to learn from and grow with has been indispensable. But also, I had the opportunity to personally talk to so many incredible women leading policy debates and influencing nationwide opinion. None of that would’ve been possible without NeW.” – Ella Biggins, Former President of NeW at the University of South Florida and Member of the NeW DC Professional Network
As the celebration of 15 years continues, the NeW at UVA chapter, where it all began, reflected on the impactful history of their group and what NeW means to them.

Being a part of the NeW legacy and continuing the chapter at UVA is a real honor for us. Considering the lengths it took Karin to start the group and seeing how alive it is today, 15 years later, says so much about the strength of conservative women standing together. Knowing the torch has been passed down to us by the founder herself makes our experience with NeW and the appointment of our next leaders so much more significant. We are committed to continuing Karin’s legacy and, more importantly, carrying on our shared conservative values with dignity and confidence.

Our favorite event to host was not necessarily our biggest, but it was certainly the most developmental. We hosted Heather Pfitzenmaier, Director of Strategic Engagement for NeW, for a professional development workshop with our members. We met at Mellow Mushroom near campus and sat for hours getting to know each other and receiving loads of wisdom and encouragement from Heather. She offered guidance for our resume development, internship opportunities, as well as job searching.

Today, because of that meeting, our Creative Director, Andrea Hitt, is interning in Washington, DC this semester with the Heritage Foundation. Not only did Andrea get this internship, but our Secretary, Katerina Dorian, served as a NeW intern this summer. The event with Heather has been our favorite because we have seen the impact of it play out right before our eyes, which has demonstrated the true value of being part of NeW.

15 years is a milestone we are thrilled to celebrate, but we wouldn’t be here without your dedicated involvement and support throughout the years. Thank you for making NeW what it is today, through opening chapters on college campuses to providing scholarships to conservative women to introducing them to conservative ideas at events. You are the heart of our organization and we thank you!

As we celebrate, we ask you to consider becoming an official member of our organization. ([link removed]) For just $5, $25, and $100 per year, students, young professionals, and friends of NeW can proudly share they are conservative. We hope you’ll join us today!

Thank you!
