It’s been more than 100 days since President Biden took office — that means he’s had more than 100 days to take action on his campaign promises to reduce the number of people incarcerated and eliminate the death penalty.
Earlier this year, Ayanna stood with Congresswoman Cori Bush and advocates to call on President Joe Biden to grant clemency to 100 incarcerated women in his first 100 days.
There are over 220,000 women currently serving time behind bars across the United States. Many of those women — mostly Black and Latinx — are serving mandatory sentences tied to the devastating war on drugs.
We’re still calling on President Biden to take action on his campaign promises to reduce the number of people incarcerated.
With the stroke of a pen, President Biden can use his executive authority to grant clemency to currently incarcerated women. Today would be a great day for him to do it.
Will you add your name to our petition urging Joe Biden to deliver on his promises and use his clemency power to help end mass incarceration?

Joe Biden can affirm the humanity and dignity of these women, and make a huge step toward addressing the legacy of systemic racism that plagues our criminal justice system now.
Thank you for taking action today,
