On the campaign trail, Joe Biden said he wanted to create good jobs in the communities that need them most. Now, he has a chance to make or break that pledge. And I’ll be honest with you, John: Recent news of Biden’s compromises on his own agenda has been far from encouraging.
Biden said he was willing to water down his signature infrastructure and jobs plan in a hopeless attempt to gain Republican support — a move that will ultimately harm the very Black and brown communities that put him in the White House.
The more corners are cut from this package, the more people will die from extreme weather, the more families will be unable to find a job that pays the rent, and the more voters who put everything on the line for Biden will lose hope in what the government can do for them.
Add your name to tell Biden and Congress to put the needs of working people first and pass the Civilian Climate Corps we need rather than trying to win over Mitch McConnell’s white supremacist, corporate-funded, climate denying friends.

We’re not going to let Biden’s false hopes of compromising with members of a violent party get in the way of doing what needs to be done to secure good jobs and a livable future for all of us.
