In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution before we close the books on our May fundraising ([link removed]). But first, I want to take just a little time to share what I’ve been able to get done lately thanks to grassroots support.
This month in the Senate we’ve put workers and families first, reinvested in America’s leadership in important technologies, taken steps to start undoing roll backs in critical USPS services, and confirmed nominees like Kristen Clarke, who will restore our American commitment to equality under the law.
We’ve also pushed for bold action on climate change. Last week, I led my Senate colleagues in introducing the Electrifying America’s Future resolution to create millions of good-paying jobs for New Mexicans and our whole country, and take on the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves.
Off the Senate floor, I’ve been campaigning for Melanie Stansbury, a champion for families and our environment whose race could decide whether Democrats keep the House majority.
Grassroots support is the reason I can do this important work.
Donations to emails like this one help me focus on what I was elected to do — instead of calling big donors for hours every day just to get dollars through the door.
And as we approach the end of the month, it’s even more important that lots of folks chip in just a little — $5, $10, and $25 at a time — so I can keep up this work for the people.
