If it's not obvious, this is really not good.

Look, I hate to reach out and ask for your hard-earned money. This is my absolute least favorite thing to do, but it's the reality of being in a post-Citizens United world -- progressives like me need to work twice as hard to keep pace with Republican fundraising.

I won't mince words: If we continue at this pace, we’ll finish DRASTICALLY behind our end-of-month goal.

And when our weak numbers go public, that will make us a top Republican target. That’s why I’m reaching out, friend.
