The other day, some residents of Brookland Manor gathered to watch a movie. The result was that they were all, including the children, threatened with imprisonment. Read the Washington Post article here.
“'My granddaughter is scared that she is going to jail because she wanted to watch a movie,' said Cheryl Brunson, treasurer of the residents association. 'This is not a good look for the children.'"
Tomorrow (Thursday, May 27) at 6:30 pm the residents of Brookland Manor will hold a speakout in response to this event. Register here to stand with them and to tell the DC government and MidCity that someone is hurting our people, and we won't be silent any more!
