Friend,
The Supreme Court will soon issue a decision in a major religious-freedom case, Fulton v. Philadelphia – when it does, we want you with us at our virtual #DecisionDay rally and town hall!
Fulton is about whether religious freedom can be misused as a license to discriminate. A taxpayer-funded foster-care agency wants the Court to create a constitutional right to discriminate against qualified families because the prospective foster parents are LGBTQ and therefore don’t follow the agency’s religious tenets.
Americans United is joining with numerous allied organizations to sponsor a huge response on the day this decision comes down – whenever that may be!
Click here to RSVP for the #DecisionDay virtual rally, and you’ll be notified as soon as the Supreme Court hands down a decision in Fulton.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect on #DecisionDay:
7 PM ET – VIRTUAL RALLY: Speakers and performers from across the nation, including AU President and CEO Rachel Laser.
8:30 PM ET – VIRTUAL TOWN HALL: A panel of experts, including AU Associate Vice President of Public Policy Dena Sher, will analyze the court opinion and how it will impact the lives of LGBTQ+ people, religious minorities, and everyone who has a stake in church-state separation. Participants will have time for Q&A.
This case could have far-reaching ramifications for religious freedom, friend. I hope you can join us at one or both of our #DecisionDay events.
Thanks for all you do,
Sarah Gillooly
