Friend, help us fight to save lives
==========================
There’s still time to TRIPLE your gift to end the drug war!
Dear Friend,
The Covid-19 pandemic made the overdose crisis worse, as people who use drugs struggled to access potentially lifesaving treatments and harm reduction services. According to the drug war zealots, such people should be punished, not helped.
But you and I know that stigma, isolation, and arrests don’t help. Health and harm reduction services that treat people with dignity and humanity do. We need access to these lifesaving services. And we need it now.
Friend, stand up for your beliefs and join DPA now. Your gift before May 31 TRIPLES to help us advance drug policy reform and save lives.

Recently, we got lawmakers to include $30 million in grants for governments, nonprofits, and community-based organizations to support vital harm reduction services like overdose prevention and syringe services programs. It’s the first time Congress has ever appropriated money directly to harm reduction providers. But that is not enough. There is still so much more to do. Your gift will go to work immediately:
===Preventing drug overdoses. We’re leading a national effort to reduce drug overdose deaths by promoting sensible solutions and better policy at the state and federal level.
===Ensuring increased naloxone access. Naloxone works to reverse opioid overdoses and save lives, but far too many people are still unable to access and administer this lifesaving drug.
===Ending discrimination against people who use drugs. We are working to reduce the stigma associated with drug use and advocating for compassionate, judgment-free approaches to problematic drug use.
===Advocating for overdose prevention centers (also known as supervised consumption services). These are facilities designed to prevent overdose deaths by allowing on-site use of pre-obtained drugs under the supervision of trained staff.
===Increasing access to syringes. Sterile syringe access programs help lower the risks of HIV and hepatitis C. We must end policies that criminalize syringe possession and limit sterile syringe distribution.
Friend, I urge you to make your gift today before it’s too late. Your matched gift will TRIPLE in impact – supporting the future of drug policy reform.
