John,
President Biden issued himself and Republicans a Memorial Day deadline to negotiate the details of an infrastructure bill, where the president is calling for investments in our schools, housing, clean energy and the care economy―and demanding corporations start paying their fair share in taxes.
Mitch McConnell wants to drastically narrow the scope of the bill, and to stick you and me with the tab through so-called “user fees” like toll roads and increased gas taxes.
CHN is rallying our national allies in support of a once-in-a-generation investment in people and families; schools and communities.
We’re driving thousands of letters to Congress each day in support of a robust investment in children, youth and young adults―including universal preschool for three- and four-year olds, free community college, increased access to nutritious food, comprehensive paid family and medical leave, and more.
Already, we’ve made significant investments in reducing child poverty―but only for one year. It’s time to make those investments permanent!
Donate today to fight for an investment in our future that leaves no one behind―and ensure the rich and corporations start paying their fair share in taxes.
When Congress returns from their Memorial Day recess, they’ll be crafting bills in committee that will hopefully become the next big legislative package. It’s up to us to ensure Congress addresses the needs of millions of Americans including reversing the racial wealth gap and the gender pay gap―investing in the care economy and creating millions of good-paying jobs.
Donate to CHN today to fight for a future that includes all of us and that ends a rigged tax system that―for too long―has benefited the rich and corporations.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately:
This is not a time for half-measures and a continuation of a rigged tax system. It’s time to go BIG and make the rich and corporations start paying their fair share in taxes.
Thank you,
Deborah Weinstein
