Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to President Joe Biden by over 7 million votes. Period.

So you would think that the GOP would dump the disgraced former president, especially after he incited a violent mob onto the U.S. Capitol.

Instead, the Republican Party is doubling down — installing Trump-loyalist Elise Stefanik into leadership, censuring Senators critical of Trump, and opposing the bipartisan commission to investigate the events of January 6.

The worst part is that it’s working for them.

The GOP continues to raise tons of money off of Trump. POLITICO even reported that a Trump-aligned PAC currently has over $90 million in the bank.
