| Last week, AB 528 (Wicks) and AB 71 (Rivas) were heard in Assembly Appropriations: - AB 71 Advances! This bill, which would create a $2.4 billion annual allocation for homelessness and housing, has moved out of Assembly Appropriations, to be heard in the full Assembly.
- Unfortunately, AB 528 did not advance out of Assembly Appropriations. This bill would have given affordable housing developers an opportunity to build in more places, while keeping existing tenants housed.
If you haven’t done so already, you can continue to show your support for AB 71 and other NPH Policy Priorities by endorsing NPH’s full legislative package. |
| | Urgent Action Needed for SB 91, the rent relief and eviction protections bill: NPH is supporting our partners All Home and PICO California in making sure that rental assistance is fully deployed, that back rents are forgiven, and the eviction moratorium is extended. We are asking you to send a letter to key decisionmakers on SB 91, the legislation governing rent relief here in CA. Please contact NPH Policy Director, Pedro Galvao, for more details. |
