Trump’s tax scam worked. For the first time in recent history, the top 400 wealthiest Americans are paying a lower tax rate than any other group.

This is by design. Since the Reagan era, the billionaire class has weaponized our democracy to lower their tax rate, cut the social safety net, and divide and conquer America’s working class by pitting us against each other. And Citizens United allowed them to push harder than ever before.

That’s why Justice Democrats in Congress are fighting to repeal Citizens United, get money out of politics, and pass a 70% marginal tax rate on the highest marginal tax bracket. None of our candidates take corporate PAC or lobbyist money. But we’re up against truly incredible amounts of dark money and corporate lobbying.
