It’s not too late! Contact Your State Legislators Today to Make Sure Early Childhood Funding is a Priority!

In the coming days, the Illinois General Assembly is expected to vote on the FY22 budget. Ask lawmakers to prioritize the state’s youngest learners with increased investments in our state’s early care and learning system.

Here’s what we need:
- $50 million increase to the Early Childhood Block Grant at the Illinois State Board of Education
- $25 million increase for the Early Intervention program at the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)
- $4 million increase for evidence-based home visiting programs at IDHS
