It&rsquo;s not too late! Contact Your State Legislators Today to Make Sure Early Childhood Funding is a Priority!

In the coming days, the Illinois General Assembly is expected to vote on the FY22 budget. Ask lawmakers to prioritize the state&rsquo;s youngest learners with increased investments in our state&rsquo;s early care and learning system.

Here&rsquo;s what we need:
- $50 million increase to the Early Childhood Block Grant at the Illinois State Board of Education
- $25 million increase for the Early Intervention program at the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS)
- $4 million increase for evidence-based home visiting programs at IDHS

Invest significant state and federal funds into the Child Care Assistance Program at IDHS
