We are celebrating Kristen Clarke's historic confirmation as the first Black woman to serve as the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights in the U.S. Department of Justice.

Making Herstory Kristen Clarke

Friend, this is an enormous victory. Kristen is one of the country's preeminent civil rights attorneys. She will bring a wealth of knowledge to this critical role, and we know she will serve with the honor, dedication, and decency she's exemplified throughout a career dedicated to public service.

I'm also incredibly proud of the work The Collective Team did to lead and support various advocacy efforts calling upon the U.S. Senate to confirm Kristen Clarke. YOU played a huge role in this fight -- so thank you for supporting us in our efforts to #ConfirmClarke.

We are working to create an America where Black people are equally represented at every level of government. Kristen Clarke's confirmation is a huge step forward. To help fuel our movement to build Black representation at every level of government, chip in to Collective Future today.

With hate crimes, employment discrimination, and voter suppression tactics on the rise, we know Kristen will work to vigorously defend the civil rights of historically underrepresented communities and the constitutional rights of all Americans. Thank you again for making this victory possible.

Onward,

Stefanie
