An independent grand jury, as reported by the Los Angeles Times, slammed the Orange County response to the pandemic -- a response that was, of course, headed up by Michelle Steel. 
 
Let's not forget that Michelle Steel implied people shouldn't wear masks because dogs don't have to wear masks. Or that Michelle Steel joked that COVID could be a weight loss regimen. 

So, it's not all that surprising that her response was lackluster. But, the truth is, that costed lives and livelihoods.
