Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon recently stood on the House floor to demand action on the Capitol insurrection: “It has been over four months since the attack on the Capitol -- an attack which threatened one of the most essential pillars of our American government, the peaceful transfer of power. It is long past time to launch an independent, bipartisan examination of what occurred.”

But Republicans don't agree, John. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy wanted it on record that he opposes a commission. Mitch McConnell is doing everything he can to stop the commission initiative from passing in the Senate.

Meanwhile GOP representatives like Paul Gosar and Andrew Clyde are using their positions of power to defend the insurrectionists, claiming they were “peaceful patriots” and even “tourists” who are being “harassed” by the DOJ.

The GOP WILL rewrite history on January 6 and incite more violence if we don't investigate this attack properly. Please, the House already passed this resolution, let us know where you stand and help us put pressure on the Senate to do the same:
