I’m so glad to have you on this journey with us. I know that it’s going to be a long road to Election Day, and we’ve got a lot of work to do before then. That’s why I wanted to take a minute to welcome you to our team.

Too many Americans have lost faith in our country. I want folks to believe in America -- to believe in the promise of America. I grew up on a farm, attended public schools, graduated from the Naval Academy, and spent over 30 years in the Marines. I intend to approach this campaign with the same dedication and work ethic that I learned on the family farm and in the Corps -- and I know we can win.

There are many challenges still facing our nation, from gun violence to healthcare to hyper-partisanship, but I intend to go to Washington to be a champion for all Americans by bringing people together to get the job done.
