And that’s what we try to provide.” Thank you to our healthcare workers who are fighting COVID-19 through education and ensuring equitable access to the vaccine. Read More COMEBACK CASH The 58.5% of Coloradans who have received their first dose, are well on their way to a normal life, not a hospital room. And for the 51.5% of our friends, neighbors, and family members who are fully immunized, they’ve begun living their lives to the fullest because they have the best protection science has to offer. But we’re not all the way back yet. Our resolve to put this virus behind us -- where it belongs, means we need to vaccinate more people, and do everything we can to sweeten the deal for those who are reluctant. To incentivize a win for all of us and sweeten the deal for a lucky few, we’re putting $5 million dollars from CARES Act funds at the end of the finish line. As part of this public health initiative, every Friday in June and the first Wednesday in July, the Colorado Lottery will conduct a random drawing on behalf of CDPHE to identify one vaccinated Colorado resident to win a million-dollar cash prize. And the promise of a more normal life fulfilled by vaccines, means this lottery truly has no losers. ELIGIBILIY & TIMELINE To be eligible to win and claim the prize, a person must: Be a living resident of the State of Colorado. Be at least 18 years of age. Not be an administrator of the Colorado Immunization Information System, a Colorado Lottery employee conducting the drawing, an auditor certifying the drawing, the Governor of the State of Colorado, the Lt. Governor of the State of Colorado, or the Senior Director of the Colorado Lottery. Have received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine if receiving the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose if receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Have not already won. Have signed and submitted all required documentation and releases as part of the claims process by the deadlines identified in the drawing procedures. If a Coloradan is selected as a winner, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will reach out to verify eligibility. For more information about the drawing, please read the FAQ and the official rules. MOBILE CLINICS Mobile vaccine clinics or “the vaccine bus” have sped over 6,000 doses to Northeast, Southwest, Southeast, Metro Denver, and Western Slope communities. More than 80 stops along these five routes are scheduled through the end of June, with plans to continue adding stops based on community needs. If you or someone you know are not vaccinated and live along one of the routes, these mobile clinics are a great way to get the vaccine and help protect our communities. From Lamar to Las Animas and Denver to Delta, you can follow the bus tour and book an appointment for your shot! POWER THE COMEBACK To meet the needs of Coloradans with language barriers and lack of access to accurate information, we have hired IDEA Marketing that specializes in reaching hard-to-reach communities. This is a non-traditional media campaign that gives everyone the power to tell their story and be a part of the launch of the greatest economic comeback this state has ever seen. This campaign, like Colorado itself, is unique. It utilizes non-traditional strategies to form coalitions across trusted messengers in community-based and faith-based organizations, harnesses the power of 120 community influencers that signed on to share the latest science and data around vaccines, provides a text message program available in English and Spanish for people to get their questions answered, and is built to be flexible and responsive to the changing data so we can reach more folks who need support making plans to get the vaccine. Ads are running on TV, radio, online, social media and coming soon to a business near you, and individuals can help bring forward a normal life for your family and community by using the hashtag #PowerTheComeback to share your vaccination story. Opt-in to the highly informative text messaging program by texting “vaccine” for English or “vacuna” for Spanish to 1-855-355-4566. HOW WE END THE ECONOMIC CRISIS Getting the vaccine should be as easy as showing up for work. The Governor is proud to announce that Colorado is offering a new workplace vaccination program, which will allow employers, unions, and trade associations of any size to provide their workers with more opportunities to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in a familiar and convenient location. Employers can enroll and request a free, on-site vaccination event by filling out a Google form - there is no workplace too small to get vaccinated! Request a Workplace Vaccination Clinic All staffing, logistics, and vaccine supplies will be coordinated and provided by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The State of Colorado has been ahead of the curve on getting our workforce protected against this virus. All regular employees in Colorado receive four hours of paid time off (PTO) to use for vaccine appointments and to recover from vaccine side effects. If you’re a regular employee and find this is not the case in your workplace, call the Department of Labor and Employment’s Division of Labor Standards and Statistics at (303) 318-8441 to ask questions or voice a complaint. ‌ ‌ ‌ Visit Website Office of Governor Jared Polis | 136 State Capitol , Denver, CO 80203 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | Constant Contact Data Notice Sent by [email protected]
