I joined Spicer & Co. on Newsmax TV to discuss the Democrats’ failure to take the vacant congressional seat in Texas’ Sixth District. It is no surprise that voters in Texas are unhappy with Biden’s failed border and energy policies and the Left’s attempts to defund the police and keep schools closed. President Biden earned 48% of TX-06’s vote in November, but only 39% voted for Democrat candidates in the runoff this month.
As I shared with Sean and Lindsay, the difference between the 213 seats Republicans currently hold and the 218 we need for a majority was only lost by 31,751 votes nationwide in 2020. This cycle, we are targeting 57 seats, including 20 where we believe redistricting will work to our advantage.
The NRCC and House Republicans defied odds in November and picked up 15 seats. We are looking forward to another successful night in November of 2022, especially since the Democrats are continuing to push policies that cause voters to run towards Republicans as they did in TX-06. But we didn’t win those 15 seats in November without your help, and we can’t win in 2022 without you.
