[ [link removed] ]Katie Porter for Congress
John,
It’s official: Starting July 15, families with children will start
receiving a monthly payment of up to $300 per month per child.
Thanks to the work and advocacy of Katie Porter, this direct help will cut
child poverty and help families across the country, meaning more kids will
have access to nutritious food, good housing, and quality child care.
But like Katie said last week, this benefit is not without its failures.
Children of single parents are less likely to get the tax credit, and in
some cases, they’ll even get a smaller amount than children who are living
in families with two parents—something she’s calling the “single parent
penalty”. That’s why Katie is fighting for a fair child tax credit, not
one that leaves our most vulnerable behind.
[ [link removed] ]Katie will never stop using her voice and her platform to fight for
working families' ability to thrive. But she can’t do this without your
support. Can you please chip in $3 or anything you can to
fuel this fight and help build a better future for our children?

Our children are our future. By investing in them, we make our country
stronger for decades to come.

As we rebuild our economy, Katie will continue using her voice in Congress
to speak up and demand a just recovery for working families. Can you chip
in today to help ensure she can continue to fight for all of us?
