Hi friend, David Sanchez here – I’m one of the “political people” here at DAGA. That means I’m 100% focused on scouting, supporting, and electing the best Democratic Attorney General candidates around.

That leads to some pretty long days – and today, I’m taking you along for the ride. Here’s what I do to stay on top of the 30+ AG elections that are coming up, and how you can help:

First, I crack open a bottle of Topo Chico, put on some music, and flip through a heap of AG-related news articles. Usually, those headlines are enough to get me fired up for the rest of the day.

From there, I go straight into the Political Team’s morning huddle with the coolest election wonks you’ll ever meet, hashing out how today’s news will affect each of our elections. Once we’ve got a game plan for the day, I split off to start working on my part to help elect Dem AGs across the country.

Here’s where the magic really happens, friend. My first meeting is with the National Recruitment Committee, the group that scours the country for superstar candidates to elect in upcoming AG races – people who can really connect with our communities, lead with integrity, and give their all to the fight for progress.

It’s no accident that we have the most diverse group of AGs ever assembled, who are 100% pro-choice and outspoken champions for affordable health care, gun violence prevention, and much more. It’s because DAGA will only endorse the best people to protect our communities.

And with more than half of the country’s AG seats up for election this year and next, it’s critical we have the funds to boost these rising stars and defend our incumbents. Friend, will you chip in $15 to help us win big?

That leads me to the next part of my day, broadly titled “help keep Virginia’s Democratic AG Mark Herring in office.” With Virginia’s AG race only five months away, we’re on high alert around here. In 2017, the GOP spent more than $7,000,000 to try to unseat him.

Fortunately, they still failed, but Virginia’s the only AG race of the year and the first since Trump’s defeat. That means the GOP is prepared to pump an endless amount of money and bad faith into flipping this seat red, and we need to fight back hard.

To keep AG Herring in office, we’ll have to go far and wide to reach as many voters as possible, even people who normally wouldn’t turn out. That will require some hefty resources. Friend, can I count on you to chip in $15 right now to help us keep strong Democratic AGs like AG Herring in office?
