John,

Burnett Oil wants a 30 year permit to drill in the Everglades on sacred
Seminole land.

It would not only endanger the water supply for millions of Floridians,
but also an incredible, unique ecosystem home to Florida panthers, black
bears, and the largest American alligator!

The Department of the Interior can still put a block on the plans. Click

There are already two oil drilling sites in the Big Cypress National
Preserve, but that’s not enough for Burnett — it wants to expand and
develop entirely new areas in precious wetland area — and adjacent to a
reservation of the Miccosukee Tribe.

And this isn’t a company that can be trusted — even though the early
exploration required them to offset for damage — they drove 33-ton
vehicles off-road through Preserve wetlands, and four years later have
still not done anything to compensate.

The Biden administration says it will conduct a comprehensive review of
federal oil and gas permitting. This Florida oil rush should be blocked
until that review is complete — and until the concerns of the affected
Tribes are addressed. Say NO to drilling in the Everglades:
