NRA launches $2 million campaign

to oppose Biden gun-control agenda

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is the primary governmental organization in charge of enforcing our gun laws and holding the gun industry accountable and it hasn’t had a confirmed director since 2015. Confirming a leader to the ATF is a critical step toward addressing our nation’s deadly gun violence epidemic of gun violence. And tomorrow, the Senate has the chance to finally appoint David Chipman to lead the ATF. 

But right now, the NRA is pouring $2 million dollars into a campaign against his nomination. That’s why we urgently need your help, John: We need to show a groundswell of support behind Chipman’s nomination before the Senate meets tomorrow. Will you add your name right now – before it’s too late – and urge the Senate to confirm David Chipman as ATF director?

President Biden nominated David Chipman to serve as the Director of the ATF because he knows exactly what needs to be done to ensure our laws are implemented, upheld, and enforced. As a father, public servant, gun owner, decorated law enforcement professional, and gun safety expert, he has spent his life serving the public, combating violent crime, and striving to make our communities safer every day.
