Dear John--
I’m so excited to share my new book, Perfectly Parvin, with you. So much so, that I wanted to give you an exclusive preview of the book! You can now read an excerpt from the first chapter here.
Amid the turmoil of high school friendships and crushes, I wrote Perfectly Parvin to show that being yourself is always the perfect way to be. And I’m so excited to share my book and my experience as an Iranian-American author with my community.
That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me at my upcoming book talk THIS Thursday, May 27 at 5:30 PM MT/7:30 PM ET!

Hosted by NIAC Colorado, the discussion will also include my dear friend, Dr. Neda Maghbouleh, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto and author of The Limits of Whiteness: Iranian-Americans and the Everyday Politics of Race.
