Pride month is just around the corner, and as one of Maine's first openly LGBTQ mayors, this is an important time for me. To kick off Pride, please join us at 5:30pm on Wednesday, May 26th for a conversation with Speaker of the Maine House Ryan Fecteau!

Speaker Fecteau is the first openly gay Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives and, according to the LGBTQ Victory Fund, he is one of only five out LGBTQ House Speakers nationwide. Speaker Fecteau was first elected to the Maine Legislature in 2014, becoming the youngest openly gay State Representative in the country. In the intervening years, he led the charge to ban conversion therapy and in 2019, got the ban signed into law.
