My office continues to make attempts to bring our government agencies to the community. Today, May 25th, we will host a joint community meeting with the Department of Public Works and The District Department of Transportation.

This meeting will provide an overview of services that these agencies offer and allow residents an opportunity to ask questions and to tell agency representatives what they need.

On Thursday, May 20th Councilmember Trayon White joined residents for a street naming ceremony in honor of Ms. Elaine M. Carter and Mr. Harold "Ike" Foster. May the love and legacy left behind from Ms. Carter and Mr. Foster live on forever.

On Friday, May 21st, Councilmember Trayon White joined Prestige Community Resources and Class Act for a "Day of Fun" at Bridgepoint Hospital. In honor of May's Mental Health Awareness Month, Prestige Community Resources offered a Community Health Fair for Ward 8 residents with live music, free health screenings and fitness activities from #WeFitDC.
